KCON NY 2019 Full Concert Review

This is a special review I am doing because it will be the first time, I will be doing a concert review!

I have been to concerts before… all KPOP! But it is the first time that I’ve attended a K-POP concerts that coincides with a major event that happens every year…although for the first time held in New York at MSG…

KCON NY 2019!!!

Javits Center for the KCON Convention

And the KCON concert for two days at MSG!

Anyways…PRESENTING!…

KCON NY 2019 Full Concert Review

Disclaimer: I DO NOT own #KCON and any of the other artists who participated in KCON in NYC but you can say I am fan or because of KCON became a fan of theirs. And any information about KCON and those artists, I got from Wikipedia AND articles online 😊 Peace out!

Anyways I mentioned before…I have been to concerts before… Mainly KPOP!

My very first concert and first KPOP concert was in 2017 at G-Dragon 2017 ACT III M.O.T.T.E World Tour in New York at Barclays Center on July 27!

My second concert was also in 2017 at TAEYANG 2017 White Night World Tour in New York at Madison Square Garden on September 1!

I love and will always love BIGBANG…they kept me interested in KPOP even though 2NE1 was the one that reeled me into the KPOP craze and made me a fan and interested in KPOP most particularly towards all YG entertainment artists!

My third is in 2018 at GOT7 2018 Eyes On You World Tour in New York at Barclays Center on July 11!

And early this year 2019 at WINNER 2019 Everywhere World Tour in New York at Madison Square Garden Hulu Theater on January 29!

But the most recent…although a KPOP concert…is the first major Korean concert that I’ve attended, which occurs every year as a major event but usually held in New Jersey and as I mentioned earlier…

First time held in Madison Square Garden…

KCON NY 2019 Concert!!!

Anyways first off…

Why I call it a full concert review? Well like I mentioned earlier the concert was held for two days…well two evenings. And there are two sets of 6 different artists that performed on both days that I will make a review of. Although, I will try my best not to spoil to much because if I understand correctly, KCON will be broadcasted later on. Also, usually tickets for KCON is really expensive, that like with Comic Con who definitely have to save or put aside a lot of $$$ just to attend all the days… But I was lucky a friend of mine helped me out that I was able to score tickets for both days! But enough of that cause like I said the main purpose of this review is the full concert!

I will start with DAY ONE of KCON NY 2019 Concert, July 6..

On DAY ONE of the concert, the artists that were scheduled to perform were ATEEZ, EVERGLOW, IZ*ONE, THE BOYZ, TOMORROW X TOGETHER and NU’VEST!

It was unfortunate though…EVERGLOW was not able to attend and perform due to reason or reasons that I’ve honestly forgot the MCs mentioning… that IZ*ONE the only female girl group their filled up both their spot and EVERGLOW’s spot to perform! And IZ*ONE done an absolutely awesome job! But more on them later…

For now, I will talk just a tiny bit of the artists that performed at DAY ONE of KCON NY 2019 Concert and their performance… Likely, 2 to 3 sentences max. So, for each group, it will be pretty short. LOL Peace! Don’t get me wrong, all the groups were highly anticipated, but the ones who were most awaited had the loudest screams from fans.

First with ATEEZ! ATEEZ is an 8-member boy group that debuted last year in October. Anyways I thought they performed remarkably well for a group who haven’t been around for year yet!

Next, IZ*ONE is a South Korean-Japanese girl group consisting of 12 members that was formed through a reality competition show called Produce 48. And like ATEEZ, debuted last year in late October. They are the only female girl group that performed at DAY ONE of the concert because EVERGLOW another girl group wasn’t able to attend, so IZ*ONE filled up both of their spots. They are one of the most awaited groups to perform at the concert. And although, they are a little bit too bubblegum pop for my taste, I truly believe they did a remarkable job as the only female performers of the night.

Next up, THE BOYZ is a 12-member South Korean boy group that was formed late in December 2017. At the concert, I essentially loved their performance of their single “Bloom Bloom”. Overall, I thought that they did pretty well for a two-year-old group.

Now, moving on with TOMMORROW x TOGETHER also known as TXT! TXT is 5-member boy group under BIGHIT entertainment who debuted this year 2019 in March. They are BTS junior group. Anyways, they were also one of the most awaited groups to perform at the concert. And in my opinion, I thought they performed remarkably well for a group that debuted early this year.

Lastly, I will talk about NU’EST! NU’EST is a 5-member group that debuted in early March 2012. They are last one of the most awaited and the oldest group to perform that night and most manly looking. No offense meant though to the other guy groups… But these guys are really gorgeous men in their mid-twenties… Peace Lol! Anyways since they are also a 7-year old group, you can see in their performances how polished they are and how amazingly talented they are.

Overall, DAY ONE of KCON NY 2019 was absolutely amazing and I had a lot fun. And all the artists, whether or not their music was to my taste, I thought they all were absolutely incredible and talented performers. You can definitely see their years and training in their companies before their debut whether they debuted 7 years ago or a few months ago…their efforts are not in vain. Because they are undeniably talented. I also found the main mc of that night Kevin Woo former member of K-POP boy group U-KISS, was absolutely amazing MC…also talented too, I loved his performance in the beginning of the show.

I will now move on with DAY TWO! The final day of the KCON NY 2019 Concert, July 7..

On the last day, DAY TWO of the concert the artist that were scheduled to perform were AB6IX, fromis_9, SF9, VERIVERY, (G)I-DLE, and SEVENTEEN!

Anyways…unlike at DAY ONE… at the last day of the concert, DAY TWO, all of the scheduled performers performed!

I will talk just a tiny bit of the artists that performed at DAY TWO of KCON NY 2019 Concert and their performance… Likely, 2 to 3 sentences max. So, for each group, it will be pretty short. LOL Peace! Don’t get me wrong, all the groups were highly anticipated, but the ones who were most awaited had the loudest screams from fans

I will first start of with AB6IX… AB6IX is a 5-member boy group that debuted not too long ago… this year 2019 of May. AB6IX is for short for Absolute Six! Anyways I adored them! They are pretty young especially they just debuted recently but I loved their performed even though only 4 of them dance while their main rapper was at the side sitting down on stage due to injury. But the main rapper has awesome charisma and deep husky rap style. The vocals of the members and their dancing was amazing! I had a feeling if they main rapper wasn’t injured, they would definitely be even more amazing.

Next up, I will talk about fromis_9… fromis_9 is a 9-member KPOP girl group whose group name means that they will keep their promise to viewers and fans to be the best girl group. Like IZ*ONE who performed the night before… They are one of the most awaited groups to perform at the concert. And although, also like IZ*ONE…they are a little bit too bubblegum pop for my taste, but I truly believe they are remarkable performers.

Next is SF9! SF9 is a 9-member boy group which debuted in October 2016 and happens to be their companys FNC Entertaiment’s first dance boy group. Overall, I thought that they talented performers and did really well.

Next VERIVERY also known as VRVR is a 7-member boy group that debuted early this year in January. Anyways Overall, I thought that they did pretty well for a group that debuted early this year!

Next (G)I-dle!!! (G)I-idle is a 6-member girl group that debuted May 2018. (G)I-idle is for short for Girl Idol! And they are one of the most awaited groups to perform at the concert that night, especially since I myself was anticipating their performance! They performed amazingly and had so much undeniable charisma for a 1-year old or so group! They even performed a broadway / musical rendition too!

Finally, the last performers of the night and definitely one of the most awaited cause I was definitely waiting for them too…SEVENTEEN!!! And like NU’EST from the night before, they are one of the most awaited and the oldest group to perform that night and most manly looking. SEVENTEEN is a 13-member boy group that gets divided in three sub units with a different area of specialization…whether “Hip Hop” “Vocal” and “Perfomance”. They debuted back in 2015, making them a 4-year-old group. Like NU’EST, you can see in SEVENTEEN’s performances how polished they are and how amazingly talented they are.

Overall, like with DAY ONE…DAY TWO of KCON NY 2019 was absolutely amazing and I had a lot fun. All the artists, whether or not their music was to my taste, I thought they all were absolutely incredible and talented performers. You can definitely see their years and training in their companies before their debut whether they debuted 7 years ago or a few months ago…their efforts are not in vain. Because they are undeniably talented. I was happy the main mc of that night Kevin Woo was there again for the 2nd time! And I also loved the fact that the songwriter Esna, a Korean American singer-songwriter performed the English version of the song she wrote for Soyou featuring Junggigo called “Some”! She wrote other songs for other artists especially my most recent fave the girl group with incredible vocals Mamamoo!

Anyways if you made it up to here… Thank you so much for taking the time to read my review on Ailee ButterFLY Album. Hopefully it review gets you interested in the artists that performed at this year’s KCON and KPOP as whole.
